Sounds when saving temporary lost

I had my model cycles accept CC data from my computer using Reaper, and somehow the sounds changed. I didn’t even know I was receiving anything yet, except for CC 80, which controls decay.

I had already temp saved, so when the sounds switched, I decided to turn off the model cycles in hopes they’d be restored when I turned it back on. They weren’t. I then tried func+pattern, and still the sounds were not restored. It took a lot of careful tweaking. Anyway I can get them back?

I don’t think so. I’ll say that temp save is just that: temporary.

Also, Be sure to read up on the saving behavior of patterns and projects if you didn’t yet. It can be quite confusing and counterintuitive.

Yeah but I’ve never directed model cycles to save again to temp. It just decided to make the change permanent. Anyways, I’m fuming. I hate losing work from tools that are supposed to make our experience easier. Both from model cycles and Reaper alike.

But you turned it off. What I meant is that I wouldn’t expect temp save to retain when turning the device off.

It usually does. Try it.
