I don’t think they do too many sales, but I found a discounted copy of Trillian on Amazon from a music store when I bought mine, and applied some Amazon gift certificates towards it to take the price down.

…don’t worry about spectrasonics…they’re an industry standard…all over the place since ages…
they don’t need any rapid growth and expanding sale rates anymore…it’s a small company with a solid concept and do pretty fine with a small handful of developers and just a few four digit new users a year…since they’re products can be found on every pro and semi pro system around the globe…so, they made their cut long time ago already and can afford all kinds of patience by now…
