If you have to explain a joke, it didn’t work…

Apologies if I misread or misconstrued your post.

Cheers!

This is making me think the winner will be ios and a hardware controller at some point.

My post was not about you. II was not aware of anything you wrote. I was reacting to my friend HMB’s post, and making stuff up from reading elektronaut posts for years, so I have no one in mind.

sounds like an idea for a pixar movie

I’ve been dawless way before the fad. It was just my guitar and a field recorder for twenty some years. I guess I’m a pioneer!

Yeah, I feel like we were both just joking around with some forum humor. Not really aimed at anyone in particular.

This looks cool. I’m sure there is a market for it. If you can actually hook it up to a computer, like the Nord Modular and edit Reaktor patches, then set up macros on a controller hooked into one of the usb host’s, that could be an amazing piece of kit. And having Ableton link built in. I have noticed that people buy Maschine devices and then get quickly bored with them, so they flood the used market…And if it’s good, I’ll get one off Craigslist in 6 months.
Also…If you could have a laptop connected to the Maschine, so you could see your Reaktor patch, well, that would be pretty insane. I doubt this would be possible tho

For the record, HMB, I did find your original post funny, and I am among those who liked it. I just didn’t get Jukka’s tact is all.

It’s possible that I’m just in a bit of a mood today… Good will, gents.

Cheers!

I wonder how much the “DAW in a box” world will change when a lot of DAWs start releasing for ARM chips and tablets.

Apple moving to ARM for their laptops is going to be a huge kick in the ass for porting to ARM. If you had Ableton on iPad and a Push 3 device with an integrated tablet stand, suddenly the market for MPC One, Maschine+, etc all gets a little slimmer. Of course, I can’t help but feel like we’re years away from seeing ARM as a viable option for making music.

I use have a Surface tablet (with a proper x86 processor) that I use with a Launchpad X and Bitwig in a similar way, and it definitely keeps my GAS in check on any of these types of devices that are much closer to the DAW end of the spectrum.

ding!

Everyone hates everything these days. People have lost the excitement and possibility of new…maybe folks have been burned too many times, or the state of the world is wearing on the collective psyche…but yeah - this device is a dream come true.

just wait 6 months til people buy it, realize they don’t like it, and sell them used, so they can fund a laptop, to run their DAW of choice on.

Prism is one of the best sounding software instruments. I do wonder about max polyphony and latency/clock though, those are the things that will end up deciding how well it does in the end.

Surely the price is going to have to be around £1,000? No way on earth this will be £600.

Would be cool if this sold a bunch, and they made a Kore sized one, or even a 49 key version…
