Standalone Maschine+

From all information currently available it looks like it will include Intel processor and run some sort of Linux OS to load special versions of included VST instruments (FM8, Monark, Massive and so on).

Let’s wait for official info then.

They changed the sequencer in the new update, or the update that’s coming, it can all overlap now.

I had a Jam and Mk2, it was good, but key bits were way too fiddly for me. The Jam is an amazing controller though, hugely underrated.

Can’t say this intrigues me at the moment. Standalone only interests me if the box has multiple outputs. Which the leaks don’t seem to indicate. I personally don’t have an aversion to USB cables and computers :sunglasses:

That price too…ouch

Maybe if the box was more performance oriented? Like you could mute, or select patterns at the same time as controlling macros. That’d be dope

Think they are a bit too late with this. They missed the market imo.
There are options now and that price…

Think Akai nailed it with the MPC One price point.

i think this looks promising, but I will wait for Ableton push+, I think.
feels like I used to be in a very bad relationship with NI for years, so why to go back?

True but still nothing compared to any other DAW.

Jam is indeed an underrated MIDI controller. Used to use it with a usb host to remote control DT and Traktor.
It seems this is not possible anymore…

it is rather small! and with all those synths and fxs and everything it look hotter than mpcs. it’s really quite tempting at the moment.

Can it stream audio over USB? Curious now.

it does look rather hot. the only thing i’m worried about is that synths won’t have their full functionality.

Right on. I meant, can you stream tracks in to the computer via USB. So you could record like up to 8 tracks or something into a DAW. That’d be cool

it might be some weird maschine project transfer. but i hope not.

IMO it looks more appealing than the new MPCs. I love the legacy MPCs but not convinced by the design and UI of the new ones.
