Steps

hey

if you e.g. when analog four sets different sounds on the steps in track 1, then the individual sounds only swing out until the next step with the other sound is on, which is super cool because it sounds cleaner to me.

however, this is not the case with digitone. : (((

does anyone know whether this can be set on the digitone?

the digitakt can do that too :)))

Have you tried locking the track in question to use only a single voice in the voice allocation menu?

… thank you very much, that’s it, just tried it.

now that just can’t be used polyphonically?

Correct, unfortunately. That track is now locked to use only the voices allocated to it, no more, no less.

So the only way that would work the way you want polyphonically is if all the sounds you want to “choke” are always using all the allocated voices. Eg if you are playing a 3-note chord, to successfully choke it you’d have to have the voice allocation set to three and play another sound with exactly three notes.

good to know, this “choking” is a great function, it sounds like more musical and interesting in my eyes. Thanks again
