Syncing MD from A4 using Overbridge

Hi!

I’m a new Elektron owner, and I’m very interested in acquiring a Machinedrum to go with my A4 which I just got to sync nicely with Ableton Live thanks to Overbridge (yay!).

I was wondering if it would be possible to sync the MD from the A4 (via MIDI) which in turn would be in sync with Ableton Live via Overbridge, and then route the audio from the MD back to Live using my soundcard.

Is this doable? Would it just amount to one big mess?

I can confirm it works with my Octatrack being synced from the midi out from the A4. However, any non-overbridge device will have it’s own unique amount of latency when recorded to a track. Use the track delays in Live’s channels to overcome this limitation.
