Loopop is good, because he gives a full review. So the unvarnished cons along with the pros from Loopop ( queued link )

Cons :
LEDs are bright, and not adjustable, so are too bright in low light.
Taiga would have benefitted from a VCA in the patch bay, but you can add one externally.
Density of front panel controls, means you have to be careful not to accidentally change controls.
Difficulty dialing snappy values with the envelope.

And problems that may relate to his pre-production unit :

Their was a problem with his Osc 1, specifically something with the square wave, and a stutter with a control.
The filter doesnā€™t close down all the way.
Bleed with dynamics circuit in low pass gate mode, and with the delay.

The last two, you hardly notice in real use.

He says many interesting things in the pros side :

High points for him, and what he finds great sounding and unique were the oscillators, and the dynamics section.
That it is difficult to find alternatives that compare with these oscillators, but that the affordable single oscillators in the East Beast and West Pest are similar.

And a pro, that some will call a con, is all the hidden capabilities in the control module. I can RTFM, so that should be OK.

Taiga with all the utilities included, makes me think that it is complete enough that it would be excellent in a small stand-alone Eurorack system, with an added VCA ( never enough anyway ), and just maybe your choice of an extra East Beast or West Pest ?, along a very select few more utilities / effects of your choice.

Iā€™ve been looking for something smaller that I can use primarily for bass and also weird shit, because my pro-3 just takes up too much space. The Hades is tempting but a little too limited, but the Taiga might be what Iā€™m looking for.

looks really promising , like everything from pittsburgh

In the Sweetwater video Daniel Fisher makes an interesting point about using the Taiga as a stand-alone modular, as he counted like 15 separate modules in this one 60 HP package.

Yeah, they definitely packed a lot in there, and pushed the East meets West idea a bit further. And the price is right, especially compared to Moogs offerings of similar size.
