Hi
unlike the digitone and digitakt, sometimes when I turn off the Syntakt, the display remains visible for a little while, then goes out (after use for at least half an hour).
I wonder if there were any long-term consequences.
Can you hep me please ?
Thanks in advance.
It’s pretty common. Has happened to a bit of us. I don’t believe there’s anything to worry about. I think it’s just the capacitor(s) discharging.
Thank you for your answer that makes me feel a little better.
I had asked a friend of mine and on the elektron discord, 2 people answered me,
Neither of them had ever encountered this phenomenon.
I’ve opened a ticket with the elektron support, just in case.
If other people have the phenomenon and want to say it here, it will reassure me even more .
Happens to me too, I figured it does to all of them, nothing to worry about tho, plenty of devices do this while discharging.
I didn’t think mine did that.
Just turned it off, and it did that.
thank you all for your opinions
Elektron support answer me :
“We have observed the OLED screens occasionally behaving like this on our reference units as well, and have confirmed that it is due to a software bug. The issue is not hardware-related in other words, and we are working on a fix for a future OS. There should not be any long-term consequences. Before we have fixed the bug, this may happen in rare cases but it will not damage the Syntakt. It just looks a bit strange.”
So I’m going to stop worrying so much and I thank you all again.
