This is just a little trick I use when I’m stuck entering steps in a sequencer, when I want a pattern that sounds interesting but with the right # of steps. If you know what notes you want to use, even if it’s only one or two, they can go wherever you want. I don’t know where I learned it (if it was here, my bad). It’s super simple.

I guess any combination of steps & rests that add up to 16 would suffice, but I find this easy to remember and it sounds ok Good old golden spiral, it just works!
