How have you found it? Have always had a real liking for Spaceman fuzz and drive pedals. But the recent Artemis and Aurora releases slightly underwhelmed me, and both launches saw me pull back from putting an order in. Perhaps Zak stepping back as designer has reduced the āspecialnessā somewhat? On the other hand, regardless of that, the build quality of the things looks like itās still superb.
Iām loving the Aurora. I think it would have been cooler if it had an Exp/CV jack, but overall Iām digging it. Itās been many years since Iāve had a flanger on my board, and Iād kinda forgotten that a lot of those cool 80ās sounds that I had remembered as being a chorus pedal, are actually a flanger.
So I just got one of these:
If you run a modeler (for guitar or bass), I canāt recommend it enough. Pretty much plug and play, with just enough tone shaping to accommodate various rooms/use cases/etc.
And only $450 US!
Another forum I visit is TGP, which is very guitar oriented. Once in a while somebody starts a playalong/jam track thread. I was an Eric Johnson fan when I first got into university. This was before I discovered My Bloody Valentine, and other dreampop/shoegaze favorites. I guess nostalgia compelled me to record something for that thread, even though I donāt really do the rock lead guitar thing.
oh yeah I need to take that sticker off. At least I inserted one thing you can do on a Jazzmaster, but not on a Strat. Drive pedal was Fryette SAS, and distortion was Industrialectric RM-1n
Got the OTO BAM today, again.
On mindless impulse grabbed the MXR Echoplex Delay too.
Always been a Carbon Copy devotee, for guitar and Bass, but this has blown it away.
The Age mode is outstanding. Can go full wet mode, but otherwise it has a completely separate parallel analog dry path to the digital effect.
Put an overdrive after it and things got Tantric.
edit: tried it out with Bass today. Not as impressed, best used on a parallel channel. Though, used with Age at 50% and low Volume, Sustain at 3 oāclock, Delay at 9 oāclock, itās a subtle dirty chorus that lends itself nicely to my rendition of NewOrders Ceremony.
Ive just bought the Binson Echorec vst.

Now were moving. First Led Zeppelin Stairway.(I can now play 3 bars woohoo). Now Pink Floyd.(Shine on, Echoes etc) The worlds my oyster
Iād like to add mics on my Ibanez AF71
Iām looking for advices to buy Ibanez AF75 mic type. Humbuckers? I read about Gibson 57 classicā¦
Jazz on the neck, eventually more gain for the bridge. I thought about buying an AF75 G BKF, but esthetically I think Iād prefer AF71 modified, keeping itās floating mic. 3 positions switchā¦
Project :
AF75 G BKF
I ended up buying a Jazzmaster instead, but I do like that song and appreciate learning that Mustang was the guitar of choice
Thought about posting this on the Deals thread but I figured maybe interest might be too limited.
This course is on sale for $10 off. Teaches modes through real music pieces
Whatās the story with the ātwo types of tape emulationā they mention in the product press release? Are they using DSP now?
Also wondering, whatās with them all being called āstandard editionāā¦ is there going to be something else comingā¦ say, with an expression jack?
Hereās the lowdown on Standard vs Limited versions of Spaceman pedals. I generally prefer the Limited edition versions, but in all reality, the Standards pretty much sound exactly the same, and are still a kick ass build quality.
Hey guitar fiends, Iām a beginner on the hunt for a used Telecaster and could use guidance. If this isnāt the right place to ask, let me know!
What would you pay for this set-up: 2005 MIM Tele with Seymour Duncan Vintage Stack neck pickup and Little 59 bridge pickup and locking tuners.
If anyone has tips for finding a solid beginner Tele Iād be glad to hear them.
Check out g&l, not as good resale as fender (can be a plus if buying used!) but great guitars.
Last night I was spending some time trying to remember all the things I used to know about the OT and surprisingly, I havenāt forgotten as much as I thought. So I plugged the Jaguar into Zoia for a decent cab sim and sampled my guitar while the OT was playing, sliced it up, sequenced the slices, made some scenes, controlled slice numbers with LFOs, parameter locked some effects, and messed around with conditional trigs. And it all worked! A week or so ago I couldnāt remember how to do anything! The only thing I still havenāt tried that I really want to do (although Iām a little intimidated because I canāt wrap my head around it) is mangling samples while theyāre being recorded into the buffer over and over every pattern length. Iāve seen people mention it but I donāt know how to set it up. My guess is you set slices on recorder buffer, then set a recorder trig, and a trig to play the sample. Does that sound right? Hereās my guitar session pic from last night out in the den.
Ah, SMC and thru-hole. Nice way to offer same gear/sound at a better price.
No debate here.
What I usually do it simply place rec trigs each 2 steps, same for flex trigs. Timestretch off, no pitch up.
Can you message me with just a little more detail? I swear, I am so close to getting this to work and I know you know what youāre doing.
Iām tempted by this DāAngelico Excel Mini DC. I have a Deluxe SS that Iām happy with so Iām confident in this brand and its Korean-made guitars. The Deluxe SS has a stairstep tailpiece as opposed to a stop bar.
The discount is because of the finish cracks, for which there are closeup photos.
