Only just got mine a few days ago, but right off the bat I’d like:
A proper band pass filter for the digital machines. I’m surprised there isn’t one already? (I know there’s the base width filter, but I want envelope modulation and resonance control!)
Fix the gain staging for Overbridge multi tracking!!
This is a small one, but it’d be nice if the LFO modulation destinations showed up in the same order they display on the parameter pages. Ie whatever knob E controls on the SYN page should be the fifth SYN LFO destination. With so many different machines I find myself having to flip back and forth because I forgot the parameter name… it takes me out of the flow state.
I just had an idea for how the modifier function could be updated a bit. I think it would be cool if you could hold the modifier key and set different parameters, like parameter locking on trigs, or a little like scenes on the octatrack. Basically being able to quickly make 4 variations on a sound with the four modifiers by parameter locking things on those modifiers. Then you could live record those modifier keys, and when changing the modifier sound settings it would change the sound of all the trigs recorded using that modifier. I think this could be incredibly useful for getting variation out of sounds that can be performed into the sequencer to get intentional variety very quickly.
When you use aftertouch/velocity/mod wheel etc. to modify basic parameters like cutoff it won’t record it to the sequencer trigs (when in recording mode). it would record it if knobs are turned, but not from external gear.
please make it possible to record any parameter change no matter if the change comes from inside the box or an external controller.
SY SWARM: Turn those saws into squares like the Acid Rain Chainsaw to get that hollow sound. This could be added on negative values for the NMOD and renaming it.
I can see your point if you had an MC before (I had a friend’s MS to try to explain him how to use it, I didn’t feel confortable with it while having Digitakt, after Rytm).
Obviously from MS they had to make some accommodations to match Digitone, Digitakt workflow.
I think it would make more sense to make something coherent with the Digis workflow as a priority.
(Syntakt is my only Digi today, and I’m just trying to be coherent with myself )
If it is adressed to me, no. I think I can get the Digitone sounds type I liked with Syntakt, with less control and algorithms of course.
(On a side note I received an Hydrasynth Explorer 2 days ago, and I have a Micromonsta 2, so I should be comfortable with poly fmish/va/wavetable synths)
Yep, kits. I want to be able to live tweak across multiple patterns without param jumps. Now we have song mode this would be a big thing for me.
Doesn’t have to be actual storable kits either - just global param settings for a range of patterns, similar to how it is with the fx track (speaking of which, Elektron obviously thought about this when they put song mode in, so I’m hoping kits or pseudo-kits is in the roadmap).
