Hey all, I figured out a way to do timestretching natively on the Digitakt so I made a video to document the method. Setting it up is simple: 1: on the SRC page set the sample start point to 60.0 (the middle of the sample) 2: on the LFO page set the LFO destination to sample start, LFO type to saw, the speed to -8.0, and the depth to 60 3: place a trig on each step in the sequencer and parameter lock the LFO to trigger on step 1 That’s it!! But cant seem to get it to work on model samples. Do u need to be able to lock trig 1 to retrigger the lfo? Im still a newbie with MS.

Anyone doing timestretch on MS?

It’s not possible to restart the LFO on trig 1 with M:S, which is crucial to make the result consistent.
I am however very curious if anyone has a workaround to this workaround…

I just tried, and it works!

First I used the Velocity Destination as an LFO reset as described here:

Controlling LFO retriggers/modes with parameter locks. In the pad menu set Vdep to 0. Set DST to “mode” Set Ddep to 2. A trigger velocity of 0 to 31 is free run mode. Velocity of 32 to 63 is retrigger mode. (retriggers the LFO when note is played. Velocity of 64 to 95 is hold mode. Current value of LFO is sampled when note is triggered and held until the next note is triggered. Velcity of 95 to 126 plays a half cycle and then stops. Velocity of 127 is one cycle and then stops. With a minor tweak to the LFO settings: Mul x1 and LFO speed -32 worked for me.

I haven’t found any M:S tutorials online, so I’ll try and make a video to show how I did it.

I made a video demo cobbling together the tips from @dialectrics, @kraster, and @triandgle. Hopefully this helps some folks (and hopefully I haven’t overlooked something silly or overgeneralized a method)

Brilliant! Super clear demo! Definitely couldn’t have done this better, haha.

Additionally, I found that a 2-bar loop vs 4-bar loop require some tweaking with LFO depth (and the number of triggers added, obviously), but just keep it to doubles/halves.

Nice work. I did a crib sheet for myself a week or two ago but never got around to the full explanation for the forum. Now you’ve done the explanation, it’s worth adding my quick reference I think.
