TM-1 with no computer?

Can I use the TM-1 without a computer to speed up the sync between Elektron boxes (OT/MD/MM/A4)? Do I need buss power to make it work, and if so, could I use a USB battery pack to power it?

I don’t quite understand. TM-1 connects an Elektron instrument to a USB host like a computer. What do you actually want to do?

I was under the impression that the TM-1 would also make the sync between Elektron instruments tighter. I could have sworn I saw a diagram that showed the TM-1 between 2 devices without the computer.
