There could be one that’s compatible. Not sure. I think more new designs use FPGAs, SHARC, etc.
I think the Coldfires in some Elektrons have a similarly instruction set. (If memory serves…. 
)
Never had any problems with P2 encoders at all, in 8-9 years or so.
Agon8 however, don’t get me started.
I wish those were even half as good.

I disagree but probably a matter of taste.
MIDI bugs, sadly that’s still something to watch out for.
