Trigless track choke

Is there a way to choke a track without a setting a trigger on a neighbour track (like CH/OH - CY/CB - RS/CP)?
I could use a trigless lock setting the synth or sample level to 0, but is there a better or more natural way to do it?

if you set the AMP envelope HLD to 0(auto) and decay to 0, you could use note length on the trig page to define how long a note event is played, and it will have a hard choke.

benefit is that you don’t need sequencer trigs/locks for choking.

when using a sequencer trig for choking, I’d go for amp volume. This would choke any sound, synth/sample/filter-res, and only use up one p-lock memory space.
