Unity Gain on the Digitone Inputs (DT thru DN)

Hey fellas,
swapped a MPC Live for the small black Duo. It feels great being back at the elektron-boxes after a few years of abstinence (bought an OT Mark 1 when it came out and sold it some years later).
I like the idea of running the DT into the Inputs of the DN, but got some troubles with Gain Staging. I already did some research on this topic, but maybe there is even a chance for an official statement from @Elektron or @Ess?
So my question is:
What´s the Unity Gain on the Digitone Inputs, when I run the Digitakt thru them?
Read somewhere about 50, in another thread it says about 25-30 is the right Input Level for Unity Gain.
Thanks in advance!
Peace

Read the manual, friendo. For what it’s worth, though, I think unity gain for line level is around 25-30.

Barring all that, you could just run the Digitakt into the Digitone and then bring up the gain until it was at a level you liked. :man_shrugging:t4:

This or just set to 100 and feel it out with the volume knob on the DT.

I do this with my OT (headphone out into DN ins) and no issues with clipping!

Did not find anything about the best input-levels in the manual,
by looking at the picture in the corresponding section it could be around 50,
but 30 seems to work fine without any distortion.
Thanks for your help guys!

My bad - I could have sworn it was in there. Glad you got it sorted out.

I’m curious about this as well. The DN inputs have way much more gain that the A4.
