So I am trying some gear on my master bus send and I was wondering how important it is to get it back to gain unity or if I can just use my master volume on my mixer to bump the signal levels back up. Am I just looking to make sure my noise floor isn’t getting out of control? Are there potential other issues I am not aware of?
I know it is probably not best practice to drop the levels at the final stage and then reamp them, but it is only an issue if it sounds bad I suppose, Any advice is greatly appreciated
