I assume this is the case. But I hope that it’s not.
Agree with the notion that a base width filter would be perfect for samples only, as it would allow better sound design when combining samples/analog. This should indeed make sense on a second page of the sample page, preferably combined with sample rate reduction. Imagine the possibilities
Orrr… filter the source when you sample it.
Question is at what point the signal goes digital and if a filter would be possible then, one like on the DT filter page 2 only to remove low and high frequencies. Or add an EQ?
yeah but if you need to tweak the cutoff point you have to resample again and modulation is impossible
Yeah, but it’s better than nothing cut the high and modulate the low? Or vise versa?
of course it’s better than nothing, but when you have fx engaged and envelopes etc it’s not always easy to resample, you have to think about resetting lots of stuff before that and then get it back again, pretty tedious process tbh, not impossible but very discouraging.
…but if a 2nd filter is an impossibility due to hardware limitations…?
I’d only want it on the digital engine. It would be next to useless on the entire path. For fine tuning samples, it is pretty needed. Even a digital highpass on the sample engine would be adequate really.
So if there was a digital filter on the samples only where would it go and how would it be made clear that it has zero effect on the Analog sounds?
Just before the sample DAC that goes into the analog Amp/filter, no interference with analog path
Sounds good to me. Could be on the sample pages rather than filter page.
Now there’s MIDI out for sequencing, what about p-locks for CCs per Digitone, Digitakt?
Does nobody else ache for this?
It is all I want.
I don’t, but I also have an Octatrack, so my uses and needs probably differ from yours.
Yh I would love to have all my drum sequencing, patterns, pattern chaining etc. in one place. Ideally the Rytm.
Could this ever come to Rytm?
I’m under the impression that without dedicated MIDI track it’s not possible, where would they even put the cc’s menu?
Has there been any explanation for the lack of adjustment to velocity sensitivity on the pads? I know it’s a long-desired feature, I’d assume they would have done it by now if it were possible with this hardware. (I’m in the minority that more or less likes the pads, but I would like to be able to adjust this, too.)
It’s really odd that they haven’t addressed this problem by now. The pads are obviously very sensitive in mute, scene mode etc and people have been complaining about this for years.
