Upgrade Potential? More Memory!

I thought I saw a model samples on eBay awhile back with upgraded RAM. Can’t find it now, but does anyone know if you can get in the guts, chuck 2TB with 4GB RAM in the lil guy and damn the “Memory full!” msg straight to the six circles of hell?

Ive been making nu-metal (don’t ask) on the Samples and it requires a lot of guitar and drum loops. I’m constantly having to figure out which samples I am not using in any projects to make room for more blast beats and power chords. There’s nothing like folder diving on a PC to banish creativity to purgatory!

I feel like that would be common knowledge at this point if it were true. I’m guessing you dodged a scam. I suppose depending on what the physical memory component is the right person with the right skills might be able to upgrade the memory on the other hand the OS might not recognize it (I have no idea really, I’m not “technical” at all). But why bother paying someone to modify a $300 sampler when you can just buy a sampler that has the memory you need and does a lot more (just posing a theoretical, not trying to tell you to buy something else).

But yea, I feel like that was probably a pipe dream : )

I’ve wanted an Octatrack since I saw Evian Christ play one during 2013 Pitchfork Festival, but spending 800 on an instrument is far down on my list of things to buy lol.

The only Elektron devices I have are the Models and the limitations of those boxes are at a sweet spot for me so I don’t get overwhelmed and can stay focused the sound. I just wanna have a diverse and massive sample library all contained in the box.

the models is so dense but simple like im still finding features that blow me away. I slept on it at first viewing it as a gimmick or toy, but after a year its like my go to production method, and really if it was all you had you wouldn’t be hurting for extra features you can do most production just from this if you tackle it understanding its limitations.
