Using XO patterns to trigger tracks on Syntakt

XO has a sale on pattern presets by Racheal Collier and J3PO.

I thought it was great to have a pattern library that I can program on the Syntakt (and TR8S.)

So I got the midi from XO in a track in Logic, and was wondering how to set up the Syntakt.

I double click the midi in Logic and it brings up a piano roll. Do I somehow assign the notes on the piano roll to tracks on the Syntakt?

Or do I parse out the midi to separate tracks in Logic and then assign each track to a midi channel that corresponds to a track on the Syntakt.

Really appreciate the help pointing me in the right direction.
