Hey chaps
Following on from the success of West Yorkshire Elektronauts, we’re running an event in conjunction with Ben Hex,
(Muffs, The GreatYorkshire Wiggle, DivKid etc.)
Event will be held at Belgrave Music Hall on Sat 15 Aug.
Doors are Midday running thru till 7pm, possibly later if we feel the need.
It’ll be a great opportunity to get your hands on any Elektron boxes you haven’t tried yet as well a a raft of other stuff, Cirklon, & various modular setups etc.
There will also be some performances throughout the day by some notable artists showcasing the Elektrons, Modulars & the pairing of the two!
Entry is free.
They’ll be a raffle & if its anything like last time they’ll be some wicked prizes courtesy of some very generous manufacturers.
(Baddcr did rather nicely last time.)
Raffle proceeds go to a charity.
Day is very informal, wander in & out at your leisure.
Great ale selection.
Bar food.
Pizzaria.
In house coffee vendor.
Performances will be on the main stage, the floor space open to you guys to display your gear.
If you do want to bring kit to showcase pm me here for more info.
Had a word with Ben & we’re both happy for you to film whatever you want & distribute how you see fit.
We would like access the material however.
Ben has some ideas actually so I’ve pm’d you his details.
If you could drop him a line that’d be wicked.
Cheers
Can anyone enlighten me with info on any more get togethers/synth meets in Leeds/Yorkshire for Elektron and Modular? Would really like to start to socialise and share ideas with the community. Im a user of Elektron and Moog, will soon be diving into Eurorack when I move to the new studio and would like to learn things from other guys, join in with synth jams and hear some modules in action. Thanks!
Ben Hex, who is co running this event with us, runs dedicated modular events. https://www.facebook.com/modularmeets
Check out the events/gatherings section on Muffs too.
I’m now back in the Elektron fold after selling me gear last year… You did say I’d be back bw7! I had great fun last time and I’m Looking forward to hearing these amazing machines at club volumes. I was blown away by the bass of all of the machines coming through the system, just goes to show that they are made for live performance, something that’s easy to forget for people like me who only listen at levels allowed in a terraced house!
No worries Dubathonic it’ll be recoded, Bens got some filming arranged too I believe!
Photographer friend will be around also so expect some action shots
Yeah Wayne, be good to see you again! I knew you’d be back in the fold

Sorry to advise that I probably won’t be doing any filming now. Renting equipment was a lot of trouble (I would have to prove my identity, put down a deposit, and make sure I am in when courier visits) and I have largely decided against buying a camera as I would have no other use for it afterwards.
Just thought I would mention this in case anybody else wants to arrange anything instead.
