I recently picked up a grid based controller from Yaeltex. I’m looking for a VST step sequencer with full midi implementation where I can map most controls, such as step on / off and note values to the buttons on my controller. The buttons on my controller can be programmed send either note or CC messages.
Finding something like this is proving to be difficult. Most of the step sequencers in Maxforlive only allow for the knobs to be mapped and leave the note window inaccessible except via mouse click.
I was looking at Stepic but it doesn’t seem to offer midi control via controller which seems odd for a step sequencer VST.
I’m using Ableton and can use any maxforlive device or a 3rd party VST. Any suggestions?
