Good to know. I’ve got nothing but good things to say about PC. I figured they were flooded with orders. I’m going to go ham when I get tracking.
For those of you in Canada who ordered directly from Elektron, what were the import fees like?
I got a reply from Elektron regarding my order being stuck in FedEx Memphis.
They said they’ve never seen this ‘Clearance Delay’ happen before & that it’s on me to send the relevant importer info to FedEx, as by the letter of the law, I am the importer.
I’ve contacted FedEx and was told to email my SSN to them, I’ve done this and am eagerly awaiting the next step…

I haven’t ordered from Elektron specifically but generally add tax for whatever province you’re in. Then add say anywhere from $5-30 for “handling fees”. Also, convert the declared amount into CAD first, add tax on that.
Also sometimes when they do conversions (depending how you paid) they’ll add 2.5% on top of that (a lot of credit cards will for example.

Syntakt was supposed to be delivered today. Still shows it’s In Connecticut at the post office where it was dropped off, rather than Atlanta where I live.
No shock there…

My Syntakt ordered from Elektron direct has now been sat in Memphis customs for clearance for 6 days…
They’ve had my SSN, as requested, for 5 days…
I’m regretting buying directly now and wondering if I’ll ever get it 
Syntakt in stock at Moog Audio Montreal.

I’d like to advise US buyers not to buy from Elektron directly.
My Syntakt has now been stuck in a Customs Clearance Delay via FedEx Memphis, for 9 days. I provided the requested info 8 days ago and FedEx are blaming customs and customs are blaming FedEx….
Absolutely gutted.

I know a bit of users in the U.S. that got them from Elektron fine in facebook groups and youtube etc. Your case sounds like an isolated case and that sucks hopefully you get it soon!

Me too man, it does suck. Elektron support are trying to help, there seems to be very little that can be done and it’s just a matter of waiting.
It seems like FedEx Memphis has serious issues with customs clearance delays, a quick google returns some horror stories, delays of nearly a month. Sheesh

Ugh. Hope it gets released soon. I had a shipment stuck in customs for a solid month once. On the bright side, everything that was delayed in customs eventually made it, and it feels like a miracle when you see that release.

As luck would have it I randomly came across one available as B-stock in Thomann like 10 mins ago… Should be arriving in a couple of days.
Finally managed to klarna myself a syntakt that I surely can’t afford, from elevator sound in the U.K. They’re meant to be in stock so if all goes well it’ll be sent out today. Gotta admit I’m super excited to see how mad I can get this thing to sound.
