What is the Difference between OB for Live and the latest Beta?
Are there functions that work with Live like saving current state etc?
I was going to ask a similar question, but thought it sounded daft!
It’s not that daft if the both of us were wondering though.
I tried out a beta version in Cubase, which showed up like a VST.
Does V1.0 still work the same way (like a VST) but only in Live?
Are there Live specific things? I don’t use Live so can’t try it myself
Don’t completely take my word on this, But I believe it has only been through substantial internal testing with Ableton, and could not release a 1.0 fully supported version with minimal testing on other DAW’s.
I believe Live is a stepping stone, I personally have not noticed any difference between the 1.0 live and latest beta, except the live version gives me a display stating its only compatible within live.
It may be due to honing in on the plugin delay compensation, although as I said before, Ive also been using the beta alongside Renoise with no issues, even sending out crazy LFO’s to the parameters.
Just my thoughts. would be nice to hear from the OB team on this though to confirm.
v1.0 is much kinder on my CPU than the beta was
