tl;dr I have to ship my Syntakt back to Elektron for the third time bc of QA issues.
It came new with the E knob bent. I lived with it at first but it really hindered performing with the filter bc it made strange nonlinear sweeps and would get stuck. I sent it in for repair and it came back worse. The knob was still off axis but now made a strange audible clicking sound. This time Elektron admitted fault and at least paid for shipping and properly fixed it. Now I just opened it up again and one of the LEDs on the sequencer isn’t working.
What is going on with their quality assurance and testing processes? Has anyone encountered similar issues? I’m flabbergasted that I have to send it back for a third time and worried this specific box will always be riddled with hardware flaws.
