Now I’m just imagining a tamagotchi built into a synths OS so if you don’t tend to all its needs it will die and be factory reset.

As someone who started out with Ableton Push and a laptop with Ableton and VST plugins, I enjoy the hands on dawless approach for live jams and since I work all day on a computer, it is a relaxing escape from staring at a computer screen. Plus dials, switches, sliders and knobs are just plain fun. That is also part of the reason why I got into modular eurorack world the last few years.

If you keep telling yourself something over and over, you reinforce that thought. This goes for positive as well as negative feelings, as you give energy to those feelings and they manifest as true in your subconscious.
You can turn around this by questioning yourself and observing your reactions. Over time you can empower yourself to change your thinking. If you want to, that is. It’s not always the easiest of options but it’s there if you want to explore it.
You might surprise yourself. 
if we’re talking about protocol – to 16384 (when using 14-bit values).
7-bit values (128) are just more common for historical reasons.
