Why does Overbridge seem to override settings?

Hi -

I keep running into strange behaviors with my Elektron devices and when I go to debug, it often turns out that Overbridge is the culprit.

The most recent example is that I tried to disable MIDI input on the device so that the tracks would not respond to MIDI notes, and despite this my Digitone was still responding to MIDI notes. It turns out it’s because I had MIDI input enabled on the track in Ableton that I had Digitone device on.

Why does it override the device setting in this way?

It seems pretty unintuitive. Perhaps this is documented somewhere, but I don’t recall coming across it.

The more common thing I am seeing on a regular basis (which may not be Overbridge related, I still haven’t tracked it down), is my device freezes pretty often after hitting the Stop transport control in Ableton.
