Why sound card in A4/AR?

Yesterday I plaid with OB… it works very well but some small things I would like to know.

why is there a soundcard in my a4 / ar if I need an external soundcard? There is something wrong with the sound when I use the soundcards of one of my machines… so I use my external NI Audio Komplete 6 soundcard.

I prefer not to use this soundcard… because then I only have to use my usb ports in my computer. No I need overhub…

So can I use the soundcard of the elektron machines?

And if not… why is there a soundcard in there… only for sending and receiving sound when the plugin is in a DAW???

The sound card is in there so that multitrack audio from the machine can be sent/recieved over USB. If you’re experiencing issues with the sound check the overbridge manual for how best to configure the i/o from the control panel.

don’t think that was the question - the sound card functionality relates to system level i/o i.e. play your mac iTunes through the analog box outs or record info into the pc using the A4 inputs - i.e. two in / two out - not multitrack and not analog box sound
why ? - why not !
