Why to the GNDs sound analog/better than standard machines

i have recently been exploring the GND machines again and still notice that they sound lovely and analog as opposed to the more strident digital crispness of the typical BD/SD tr/sp sounds.
Why do they sound so much better than the ‘normal’ stock machines?
purer signal, less information and less dsp?
Anyway, the gnd is really great layered with standard machines!!
Also the sine on the mono sounds more analog than the standard machines

the gnd machine has potential!

I dont understand why the f*** its not more developed, i mean having a real ADSR and or some more option to tweak in it.

Elektron should definitively add a few control on the next upgrade

Have you tried the EFM BD with mod on 0? This is a GND SIN machine plus pitch env.

thanks for the tip…runs to try mod on 0
ah thank you so much, sounds great
I presume this is the same for sd. hh and so forth.
such a simple tweak and great analog drums!!!

Reducing mod on the other EFM machines produces interesting tones but nothing like a vintage drum machine. Unfortunately.

I think there’s still plenty to create in FM synthesis.

( 's ) the GND sine wave start phase is synched to the triggers (not like trx kick bass2 and other)
only plays what you’re going to programs not a floating attack
…perhaps

I doubt there will ever be another upgrade for the MD.

Mixing in some GND machines is a great way to get some very warm sounds out of the MD. IMP machines can be used to add/restore some punch. IMP machines can even be used to make synth bass tones if you have a MD-UW!
