Would anybody be interested in a DnB battle?

Welcome!

I’m starting the Official thread on the 5th, and I’ll tag you in it, along with anyone else in the thread.

@Delboy

Important! Specify if the team concept interests you. Whether you vote yes or no. The majority will win at 05

I don’t want to do teams.

Teams no
DnB yes

Having a single brief sample or noise everyone has to incorporate would be good.

I’d imagine there are some similar ground rules already being formulated.

Bro. Chill out.

It’s a free for all.

Don’t make other people do what you want to do.

I just want to reiterate so there is NO CONFUSION.

This is just for fun. There are no restrictions or limitations. I’m saying pull some music from animation for a theme.

But guess what?

If you send in an all original track and people vote you as winner, no one is gonna care.

I’m going to make a cool graphic logo and post a new thread with how to submit on the graphic so I don’t have to type it in all the time.

No track length limits.

Upload as many tracks as you want.

I’m hoping for DnB, but if boat rock makes it in… bobs your uncle.

I upgraded my SoundCloud so there is unlimited track uploads.

YOU HAVE TO SUBMIT TO VOTE.

Submission deadline January 1st.

And no one has to do anything but make music.

I will take care of all the rest.

Just private msg me your track. That’s it.

No teams.

Theme is flip some music or sample from animation from your childhood. Or anime from last week.

This one is gonna be loosie goosie.

The winner can SUGGEST the next battle theme.

But I’m in it for the music. Elektronauts DnB mixtape.

DnB looks more popular than HipHop. You will have massive submissions ^^

This might suggest a time restriction would be useful.

The biggest issue with the hip hop challenge is the need to review potentially 25 x 2:30 tracks which is a huge time commitment.

Agree. You should don’t allow people make 1 hour mix track for the battle. 2-3 minutes is enought to get the vibe.

There will be more restrictions during the later battles.

This one is an experiment.

I’m curious to see what people submit, and if a longer mix can hold the attention of someone who throws out just a short banger.

And if this goes on long enough, there might be multiple awards in the future.

“…and for the best long form Drum and Bass face melter, and the Drummie Award goes to…. DJ Chucklefuck!”

much yes!

Just for this first one will be wide open.

You can totally bail after a couple mins even if it’s a 20 minute mix. That’s what I want to see what happens.

Will someone pull that off, a twenty min mix of original music?

Plus, what if someone gets pulled in just by the track length alone?

And there doesn’t have to be a comprehensive review of every track this first round. People can skip around to get a feel for what’s happening.
