I’ve done a lot of looking and no luck, re: a 3.5mm trs patchbay. Would love to find one, honestly, to the point where I’ve thought about just making one. Let me know if you find anything.

I have few questions
does the Bluebox do sub mixes functions?
does the blue box do A to b monitor mixes?

If there isn’t such, I would get a small 1/14 patch-bay like this one and get adapters to get into the blue box. It is what I’m gonna do… I had this patch bay from before I thought of getting the bb and it has served me well.

Just got my bluebox and already getting a major bug. When I got to tools page and adjust the contrast the machine does a restart. Anybody else get this?

Never experienced that. Reach out to 1010, they’re very responsive.

On second thought - how are you powering it? If you’re on a portable battery, make sure it’s a strong one. Bluebox is pretty demanding in power.

See if you get this bug when you run it from a wall power source.

Yeah I’m gonna have to do that, now it’s crashing loading a project. Could work with the screen but this will make things tough.

Thought of that already, tried several power sources, same things happen

There’s also a new firmware on the 1010 forum. It doesn’t mention these bugs, but it could never hurt to install it.

How are people using this with an Octatrack?

I can’t decide routings, synths into the Bluebox then into Octatrack or use the Bluebox as the final output.

If i send the Octatrack into the Bluebox I could send the second Bluebox output or phones back into the Octatrack for sampling & effects…

I use it as a mastering unit. Record shit into it. Then, re-record some of it through outboard fx. Apply the onboard reverb and delay for subtle room coloring. Use the EQ to polish what’s already working (if it doesn’t work, the Bluebox EQ can’t save it, is my experience (or any EQ, for that matter)).

Then, record to the master and upload to da Soundcloud.
