Oddly it’s a bunch of 1/8th trs and not patch cables, my guess is it’s a mistake by the marketing team grabbing random stock photos.
I wish I were practiced enough at soldering and troubleshooting to put some things complex together. The assembled versions are always way more money than I could ever justify.
Looks wild - but just thinking about the import VAT
They are listed on the American trademark database.
@RBS @craig - Trademarks for Digitakt, Digitone, Octatrack are still here, I see them in my search results. I always check the only good database - EUIPO on Europa.eu website. BTW - they still have trademarks for Model:Drums, Model:Grooves, Model:Beats, and Digistrike that got registered in 2018.
I’ve seen that too, but why removing them from the EU and Swedish ones?
I guess we will never know
To be fair I was just giving meat to the conspiracy theory. There was actually no real point to this.
@RBS - I think that such data is taken from the official EU register. The Swedish government is only an intermediary that receives data from the EU registry anyway. Could be a bug or something else. I have registered certain trademarks and their visibility cannot be influenced. This data must be public after official registration. Only sometimes you need to do search better. But always you should use official tool, not any third party. For Sweden the only right tool for research is EUIPO - https://euipo.europa.eu/eSearch/
I think the Teaser Campaign™ would be on full blast by now if there were new things lined up for Superbooth from Elektron?
Maybe they’ve seen the light on the inevitable hype/backlash cycle?
No OT3 then?
TBH OT3 would make the most sense. For whatever reason Elektron seem to have gotten unadventurous. Last three hardware releases were recycled from existing stuff so a refresh of OT should be achievable.
INB4 yet another OTMKIII lamentation thread. Let’s stay on topic with NAMM.
This is amazing!
Hope fully it inspires more things like it.
I especially like the effects routing matrix.
If you could “play” the matrix with a a keyboard, I’d be more willing to consider the price.
definitely beyond my means
Does look cool. RMR keeps calling it the Tempura which I find very funny. Curious about the price point on this one, esp. vs the Lemondrop (400USD).
The plug-the-keystep-right-into-its-usb bit at the beginning is nice, too, always happy to see USB hosting capability…
3500 USD at Sweetwater
Wow, superbooth is making an already lackluster naam look waaaay worse. And it hasn’t even started yet.
That price is a tad Ober the top
