Yeah ive got results that way but just seems little untidy…but yes good fun.
I just thought specific sample banks would allow for deep specific control per track😊
Plus there’s finite RAM to keep in mind - I agree the core structure is what it was, this is somewhere between very-unlikely and no-chance - best find ways to achieve something close-ish to this with the existing possibilities
The possibility to change the velocity sensitivity of the pads on the mk2 at least.
Edit:
So that they can get more sensitive. But if it’s not possible, then I don’t get why such an expensive machine as the AR mk2 has so unresponsive pads. Those on the Push 2 are a real breeze to play.
I love this machine, but would i love even more if it had the features below ; i think all can be implemented in a SW update :
1 -A way to temporary ignore program changes from external source. This would be KILLER as it would open a world of creative possibilities, specially in live performance. I use the Rytm slaved to an Octatrack that send program changes. But sometimes i’d like to ignore the received program change and just stay on the Rytm’s current pattern (or even go to another pattern). An elegant way to do that would be : if you are holding a bank button, just ignore the received program change.
2 - Get access to master bus and make FLTR, AMP and LFO pages available. With that you could, for instance, use the filter for the master bus and this would be awesome ! I know however, this could canibalize some Analog Heat sales…
3 - Add ‘from X:Y’ trig conditions (in all Elektron machines actually). For instance, i want an instrument to start playing only in 5:8 and keep playing forever. If i use 5:8 condition, it will play only on 5:8, and stop on 6:8.
4 - Easier way to backup EVERYTHING. On the Octatrack, i just need to copy a folder and i’m done. On the Rytm the process is confusing, complicated and slow
5 - A way to use both LP and HP filters, so it would increase the sculpting capabilities.
To be able to use the stereo external audio in as two mono inputs (centered), just like the TR-8 can do it. As a possibility to change in global menu.
( I am on mk1)
Oh, how cool it would be to have a basewith filter on AR tracks, even digital, or just a simple way to hi cut or low cut a little big the track after the filters so we could get a sort of real mix in the box! (Why not opening another filter page by double clicking the filter button?). Sounds becomes to heavy in the basses sometimes and the filters are already set to lopass so no way to hipass a little bit…
how about that, Elektron fellars?
on AR mkII 1.50 when opening the Save/Load Project screen, the display doesn’t automatically include the active project- I have a total of 17 projects and project 16 is my active one. when I enter the Save/Load Project pages the screen shows only 9 to 15 making it unnecessarily confusing especially when saving the active project (DN for example does this correctly).
would it be possible to fix this in the next update?
Definitely! I wonder if the design of the BPF could be changed to accomplish this. If they just made the width less narrow when it is fully open then it might be possible.
I know it’s been brought up and that you can always hold function + pads to trigger at full velocity/save a kit template with velocity off on each pad but still want to put in a request that there be a global setting for velocity off by default so all pads can consistently be triggered at full velocity. The work around are fine but a simple global toggle would be so nice.
