AR Analog Rytm feature request thread

A second LFO might be a very good idea

It’s the flagship model, one LFO with one destination is fine. :joy:

If they add a second one i might have peace with letting my DT go…
but yeah; it needs one Im now recording live automation as an LFO

Not sure but has anyone mentioned the official way to request:

Before I submit a request for it, I’m just wondering – would anybody else prefer that re-trig would swing (too)?

Yeah, I did that too until I sold mine. It gets repetitive in up to 64 steps though.
Two LFO’s are more than twice as powerful than one. Otherwise it’s a great device and the fact that I decided to make that comment earlier just shows that this still grinds my gears when I think about it.

Just sent an email. Also said it would be cool to have LFOs like octatrack has

Yeah i hear ya man. It deserves a second LFO even if its just for the sample; the Digitakt blows it away in some aspects which should not be possible IMO.

Still love the sound a lot and having a hard time deciding between the rytm and DT.

True, also DT has loop point modulation which is missing from the Rytm.

how long to the anolog rytm keys

Would be cool to be able to offset the sample for advanced layering. ie. delay the sample a bit without having to resample. (by just going to negative with sample start or smth)

I reckon the Elektron team read this page to have a good laugh.

You can always use the first 12 trig buttons. They trigger with the velocity set on the trig page, so if that is set to 127, you can use the trig buttons to trigger with fixed velocity of 127 and ofc combine that with the pads for everything that needs velocity sensitivity.

Thanks… I’ll give that a try.

don’t know if it’s been mentioned, but control input to have performance macro destinations would be stellar
many cray buildups and breakdowns, with just one macro destination

I was just thinking this, it would be rad! I’m going to request it.

and 303 style one VCO and 303 filter

Ya know it recently occurred to me that the Rytm is always digitally monitoring track levels, or at least one track level via the sampling engine. You can even arm the sampler while not on the sample page which means it’s always working in some capacity. And it also has a threshold for triggering the recording process.

In other words it already has at least one triggerable digital envelope follower which is active at all times, so hypothetically that envelope could be used as a mod source. All that would need to happen is the translation of that level data into midi cc data.

I would looove to see an envelope follower macro or a per track assignable envelope follower in a future update.

Oh and I already requested this one for the DT (not formally) but I’d love a FILL LEVEL function.

For example: Hold the FILL button and turn the LEVEL encoder to turn up or down any parameter locks on the grid.

This would only apply to any step which has the FILL trig condition active and I imagine it would functionally be the same as having a sequencer track for the Quick Performance knob.

Any locks on your sequence would become scalable unipolar macros ranging from a sound’s default parameter settings to whatever depth those parameters are locked to on the grid.
