Yeah it’s shit imo. The touchscreen isnt that great while being kinda responsive. But then you couldnt do half of what it does without a touchscreen so…
I’m curious the elektron analog rytm released in 2014 and the mk2 in 2017 so 3-4 years later. It’s been 3-4 years laters already. Are we going to see a mk3 or is elektron going a different route with products update ?
Or, hopefully, BEYOND!
I’ve read through this thread and there are some really great and well thought out ideas that would really put the RYTM over the edge.
I’m curious if at some point the MK1 and MK2 diverge. Does the MK2 have some greater cpu specs? I believe their sales are still pretty good…
im going to trade my akai force with an AR tomorrow. akai force was a really bad experince. bought it after i saw ansome using it but the workflow is really bad and there much better touch screens on even cheap phones.
Interesting. I know two guys that absolutely love their Forces’, I never tried one, just wanted to say that it goes to show that not everyone is looking for the same things in music equipment. A device isn’t necessarily shit, just because we couldn’t get along with it, someone else might love it. Their experience might be different.
Take my words with a grain of salt haha but I feel like the Analogs are next in line for an update. Thé compressor page on the Digitakt is an example of UX they could use, as is the mixer page for the line in.
You know if it’s indeed 4GIB as said by the YouTuber.
It might make sense from a longetivity stand point. SSD are not like HDD, the bigger they are the more cycle in write you have. And the wear leveling mechanism allow that if you write always at the same place, in reality you won’t write at this same place. So basically you don’t have access to 4GB but you have 4 time the endurance of a 1GB drive. Which is by design the best choice possible.
The LFO page shows a visual representation of the LFO waveform relative to the LFO phase/start position. Some other small updates to things like numerical snap values on controls that make sense.
I’m curious not many people either talk about the ram. it sucks to not be able to get all your samples directly and load them. Having to load them 2 times one inside the ram and on the channel you want it to sucksssssss
Scrolling through samples on the AR is also a lot slower / laggier than on the DT. When holding down for example it just freezes and then jumps all the way down
I want to program performance on holding QPER button, because you can stay on mute or scene mode and edit current performance params at the same time. This would significantly speed up the performances workflow for me). Sadly elektron implemented multiple performances on QPER long time ago and my suggestion breaks this logic (although it is possible that several performances will be edited in this mode).
Can I please get access to the performance macros on the knobs on my MK1 please?! A page where the 8 knobs correspond to the first 8 macros would be awesome!
Then I wouldn’t have to spend ages (like I am now) trying to choose a MIDI controller and also chew up the USB port!
