Though a PITA, having each cable some how fastened is key. I do the wrap up and around to eliminate fasteners but my guess is that’s not best for the cables.

This may also solve problems of wrapping up individual cables and being able to identify lengths per with tiny labels.
Now to buy another roll of velcro…
