anyone based in Amsterdam/Netherlands and have a modded version of the Mk2? I have a first batch version; would like to compare the two before deciding to mod or not to mod (I’ll bring beers).
Amstel or Heineken?

I agree with this. Further, local music shops provided non-exclusive hubs for musicians and scenes.
I’m interested in know if there’s now an opportunity for high-street (or off-the-high-street) music clubs. They’d perform all the functions of the old small music shops, except for the actual selling. Perhaps customers could pay a membership; perhaps they could be coops; perhaps they could grow around rehearsal or project studio spaces.
My family lost their farm because of CBA.
It was likely Native land first, so…

Received it today and had a very very short time to twist some of its knobs. I like it :). But of course I need to find the intricate sweet spots. I can already tell this will be perfect in very subtle settings on more or less anything.
I noticed at least one of the models has a heavy HP on it. Using the dry switch and set it to unitity, you get the bass back. Wonderful blend. Makes me wonder a bit what all the fuzz was about regarding the default HP filter. Blending in the dry and you get a great balance between everything. But without the default hop probably just as much.
Anyway, that’s a finding from about 15 minutes flipping switches and twisting knobs.
you have the new modded version i assume?
thats the one with xtra bass, so no wonder you don’t see the ‘issue’ some thought the first batch had
I think I have yeah.
I do see it. Like i explained there’s one model with a heavy hp filter. I just found that it worked really well when setting the dry to unity. Not trying to argue that people are wrong for not liking the default HP.
Yup, I have the same impression so far. I think the newer mod combined with dry settings and volume know is ideal. The models after noon and especially the last ones on the knob seem to be heavily hi passing. The effect knobs can get quite intense so subtle settings might be the musical way to go, especially with saturation on.
Easy to check if it is modded. Remove the back plate and look for 4 bridged with solder spots where SMCs used to be.
Sorry if I’m late on this, but are the new ones modded by default?
My Gen Loss arrives next week, and now I’m hoping that part is already done.
Good question, but I thought so! From what I read somewhere above, batch 2 supposed to have the mod, but I did not read anything official on their website.
I received mine 3 days ago and from what I can see and hear it is not modded. I reached out to CB and wait what they have to say.
Took a picture from the inside:
To understand what it should look like, here is the mod guide from CB that has some before/after pictures: Generation+Loss+MKII_Modification+Guide_Chase+Bliss.pdf (5.9 MB)
Here is a picture from the mod guide after the mod:
The DRY signal also has the HP on it. I will definitely need to get this modded. I need the dry signal untouched without HP!
I think it’s a bit unfortunate that new owners don’t know before if their pedal is modded or not. CB should mark the new version on the box or somewhere.
I had one delivered last week. Only had a few moments to test it so far, but seemed to have a solid bass presence. It would seem to be modified, but now I’m wondering and will probably open it up to look.
Yes, it is a bit confusing, no personal info I got about mine if it has been modded or not.
Since it is not officially mentioned anywhere, not even in the mod guide I would guess batch 2 is not modded and everyone can decide by themselves if they want to have it done. Really curious what others say about their new 2nd batch units. Maybe I just had bad luck once again.
All batch 2 pedals are modded, they shared that on YouTube and Instagram, but I don’t think they added any information on their website.
