It´s not sampling…you can just change the sample length/start. Something that already the Monomachine had, which couldn´t sampling either. But you got some very crazy sounds that way out of the ROMples.

Drum synth with romples. Doesn’t explain the scissors- that’s if the DX is the scissors. Maybe it’s the paper?
If it’s the paper, then it’s the thing you write stuff down on? Write your own waves?

The audio demo seems with analog sounds, but it’s not impressive at all. I hope it was on purpose, in order to reveal great functionalities later…
Bass and Drums labels don’t inspire me at all, seems very limited, like a mini AR.

About OS updates also keep in mind that the Digitone has twice as much DSP power than the Digitakt.
