Digitone feature requests!

I’ll back that again. Already mentionned it, but now I also bought a Keys so I feel entitled to a second iteration… :smirk: P-lock arp like the MIDI arp from the Octa would open sooooo many doors. I’ll even take this over song mode.

Not exactly what you ask for but you can midi loopback and use midi tracks to plocks delay time, small hassle workaround…

Genius. Many thanks.

I REALLY hope there is a random Arp in the next update, it would open up so many possibilities. P-lockable arp would be be awesome too.

and 1000+ for being able to turn trigs on and off and have them remember what they were.

OT style CC 61 so I can sync my external controller to actual values on tracks when pattern changes

An efficient way to select tracks while in pattern mute mode would be so cool. For now it’s really a difficult muscle memory move to make and for live situation it’s not a simple way to play…
Maybe a long press on track could do the thing….?

a way to save which track is selected would be nice too !

What would be random? Pitch, length, interval, octave?

There is a random lfo wave you can point at some things.

Not sure how that would be implemented? I can imagine inactive trigs holding settings has to mean unintended and inexplicable ghost settings once you activate long-forgotten trigs.

Copy & paste is your friend.

@mynewcolour An arpeggiator pattern option that plays notes within the chord randomly, its a pretty common on arps, surprised it isn’t there already tbh, I don’t really like the whole way the arpeggiator is done. The offset thing is a novel idea but it seems to be at the expense of some basic arp options that I miss.

Chord progressions relating to the different chord types.
And p-locking of both chord type and chord progression.

“route to main 3/7 auto” as is the “int to main” (when overbridge on)

Also : ctrl-all on midi tracks cc knobs

Not sure if this has been requested before but it would be fantastic if there could be an option for the midi tracks to play their own internal sounds instead - so potentially have up to 8 mono tracks (similar to monomachine).

That along with another algorithm to make it simpler to create harmonically rich basic mono track p-locked chords.

Not at all sure this could be possible but some addition of tones to the harmonics to make breathy sounds easier would also be great.

Not sure if it’s in this thread but it would be great for the DN to have the same saving/renaming convention as the DT. When I save an untitled pattern to project on the DT, it takes you to the rename screen, which I really like. DN doesn’t do this and given they’re paired so often in people’s set ups, it would make sense to make this behaviour consistent.

LED dim first please.

I would MUCH rather have more synthesis options than voices!

It would be nice if one could create a chord and then play it on the chromatic keys… unless I don’t get it if you play chromatically on the DTK it plays single notes…

Set the transposition of the four tracks as follows (hold down a track key and press the up/down arrows):
T1: 0
T2: +4
T3: +7
T4: +12

Then enter the Voice menu and set “layer” to all four voices. The result is the DN will play the major chord CEGC’ when a C is played on a trig key. Any trig pressed will play the same chord type/inversion built on the corresponding root.

Unfortunately, transposition exists in a Track context and cannot be set on individual steps using locks. You could, however, create a set of patterns, each of which has a unique set of track transpositions. So, one pattern would be used to hold one chord type/inversion. When performing live, you could switch the pattern to switch the type of chord played. A whole catalog of chords and their inversions could be programmed into a project using this method.

Allow to split the keyboard of the Digitone Keys in two areas which can play the sounds of two individual assignable tracks. So you would be able to play a bass with the left and a lead or pad sound with right hand.
