Send your external notes on the track channel and not the auto channel
Can you please elaborate on this a bit?
I have my sequencer set up in a way, that it has each separate channel assigned to separate channels on Digitone. How does it prevent from recording the triggers?
That seems pretty hard to do.
Iām thinking youād need an external device with a midi note filter in between your sequencer and the DN. MIDI Note filters do just that, but they allow CCās to be passed through while the DN is in Live Record mode. Still, youāll need to trigger the DN somehow to hear what parameters you are affecting - otherwise, youād just be blindly recording CC automation onto the tracks.
Iām not sure if the DN can clear a MIDI Note and leave the CC behind - I think thatās what youāre trying to do, but all in one pass?
MIDI Note = Trig,
CC = P-Lock.
Decent support for pattern muting via midi.
Oh yeah can we still not solo tracks? So weird elektron stop being weird.
Have you really been in a situation when it took you more than a second/more fingers that you have to push func+3 tracks for soloing one of the four available ?
be a nice option is all
Absolutely, all the time. When using all 8 tracks, ie including MIDI.
Unlike on the Digitakt you have to shift/page to get to the MIDI tracks to mute them, or vice versa if using them to get to the internal ones.
So yes FiFac is totally right to say that solo would be very useful as it gets around this obvious limitation.
(Not to mention the cluster#&#% of the mute behaviour/paradigm/mess)
I agree, when using midi tracks itās clearly not the same ergonomy.
I would like it there were an option on the Digitone Keys to disable the miniature keyboard from appearing on the sequencer when in live recording mode, as if Iām not using them I would rather see whatās already mapped on the sequencer. Hopefully this is already possible and Iāve just overlooked it.
Literally thought this tonight while troubleshooting something. Solo would be amazing. This was on the Digitakt with 8 channels, but still. I hope they keep the two as consistent as possible.
Thereās solo on the Digitakt?
The commenter above was saying how the Digitone only has 4 tracks so itās not much hassle mute. I realized how much I wanted solo instead of mute on the Digitakt tonight, but hope theyād implement on both. It make it that much easier to program if it were there. Speed is key on the digis, solo would only speed things up.
I have heard that it used to be a āsoloā function in one of the first versions of Digitakt, but they stopped it because it was malfunctioning and messing up some MIDI parameters. Actually I donāt miss āsoloā as much as I miss a way of muting in the DN as in the DT.
Poly recording regardless of what channel you use to control the Digitone?
The ability to send parameter lock infos, instead of just note trig infos, through the voice-layering function could be a mad improvement for the DN capabilities.
++ for external MIDI control for FILL-mode. This would be great for every Elektron instrument.
All I want is for my 4 Synth Tracks to output Midi as well as recieve them, even if it disables the 4 Midi Tracks
I wonder if itās because that guy left that made the digitone why there has not been a update like the digitakt got? I hope notā¦ But Iām starting to wonder, it has been a whileā¦ and I would like to be able to dim the lights like on the digitakt too!!
Parameter locked sounds get assigned different (random?) colors!
Programming drum breaks on a single track gets hairy with how big the soundpool is + voice stacking.
Id love to be able to look at a sequence and see where all my different sounds are, withouth previewing each step.
Keeping default red step color for main sound of the track, and offering option to turn random colors on or off!
EDIT: Colors of p-locked sounds in the sequencer can be related to their tags. That way they are the same project to project
