El Crapitan crapped out on a lot of music software since its arrival, not only OB…
Isn’t that the case with most OS updates?
Apple or Windows rolls it out, there are compatibility issues, developers catch up and release updates.
Except here we have one developer taking much longer than most.
much too long!
is this real?
What’s the link for the new beta (1.10.0)?
I don’t see it at the following link
Is this the 1.1 ? Where did you find it ?
You dont find it here because it probably still not is a “public” beta

aye, realized that after all the previous posts. thanks!
oh well, i’m not having issues using el capitan + OB, but i’m running live 8, so maybe that has something to do with it.
I upgraded to El Capitan AND OB IS NOT WORKING. I GET THE RED DOT. OB is totally no responsive.
Yeah, Overbridge is not supported in an El Capitan environment yet. You now have two options:
- Roll back your OS (hope you have a backup!)
- Wait for Overbridge v1.10 (which was touted as an imminent update in November that still hasn’t arrived yet)
I eventually went with option #1, though I think the v1.10 update will be out in about a week (NAMM). Unfortunately the bottomline here is if you have a working system in production never change it unless it’s absolutely necessary, things are tested to be working beforehand and there is a clear cut advantage to doing it.
I recently upgraded from a hackintosh running 10.6.8 to El Capitan, and I’m having no issues (at least I haven’t noticed them) in using OB. I’m primarily just using it to capture audio from the AR. I haven’t attempted to program or organize kits etc…
well, downloaded el-capitan, but hadn’t’ installed it. not sure what happened but since i’ve downloaded it, I’ve had so many problems with Ableton and OB. I get the bit-crushing sound more frequently and after about 5 minutes a nice drop out with a complete disconnect between ableton and elektron occurs. So I have complete silence (nothing comes out of the Elektrons if I hit keys/pads) and my ableton transport no longer controls the elektron transports.
