Another question. There is tempo nudge and groove settings knob per function which are great to see. But in the manual i cant see nudge of an individual step? Maybe i missed it or maybe its a firmware feature to come.
I meant it would be cool if they had another version of the perkons combined with their Sample Drum module.

I asked so you don’t have to, but if you ordered on the day preorders went live, the estimated dispatch period is within the next 3 weeks! So pretty sure they are doing the retail rounds first, and then everyone else. Makes sense though, since its probably easier to get rid of stuff in bulk and then worry about individuals.
Wonder how chip shortage is affecting the release date as they are releasing the Syntrx 2 in September.

A post on their website in July seemed to suggest that probably had some influence. Chips became 10 times more expensive.

Well it was supposed to come out almost a year ago, but then they couldn’t source microprocessors, so had to redesign a large chunk of the internals.
Even then, they’ve found it hard to source parts and have had to pay a lot more for chips for the second batch, hence the slight price hike.

So was it scheduled before the Syntrx?
I think my timeline is a little out.
So the Perkons was announced last September, with a planned release of late 21/early 22.
The Syntrx 2 was announced this spring with a planned release for September.

That must mean the Syntrx will not be released this year. As its showing November in uk stores for the Perkons. No worries as i cant learn two things at once being omnibrained 
I reckon if you order a Perkons now, you’ll be lucky to get it much before Christmas.
I don’t know about the Syntrx 2, I’m guessing there’s likely to be less issues as most of it is probably lifted straight out of the OG, so delays, though somewhat likely, probably won’t be as long as for the Perkons. If you ordered both today I reckon you’d probably get them about the same time.

Fair play to Erica Synths theyve already got the Manual out for the Perkons. My experience with other manufacturers is they’re not so obliging prerelease.

From what I’ve heard, I think I prefer the sound of the OG Syntrx. It’s just so raw. Or maybe the demos were just too different…
Anyhow, I’m not an OG Syntrx owner, but I’ll be looking down on mk2 losers.

Just got an update from Elevator Sound.
Theirs are shipping from Latvia to them next week, so should be in my hands by the end of the month.
