Look forward to what you’re gonna make on it @DaveMech The quick jam on it that you shared sounded really great
Received it today. It’s really something. Mean Machine
You beauty.
Are you using any external effects on that? Or is that its raw sound. Sounds really good either way! That bass voice sounds like rubber and I like it
That is beautiful! Sounds like a snarling, mutated Pulsar-23.
Completely dry raw sound from Perkons
sounds promising… curious if it will blend nicely with the Digitone. Maybe better with an A4.
I think it will blend nicely with almost anything. Of course, I always think every instrument blends nicely with every instrument it’s funny, because if the instruments are similar, I tell myself “they complement each other” or if they’re very different, I tell myself “they contrast each other nicely”. It’s a bit like wine… Sometimes you pair with food that plays off the same flavor profiles, and sometimes you pair stuff that is totally different, to cut through the flavor.
Totally agree
Tomorrow I’m first going to try to pair it with Syntrx it will be madness
That will be interesting.
Order shipped
I don’t know, I was just on your YouTube channel and I didn’t see anything. I doubt that this is real. I would need some sort of lengthy video proof to even consider that you didn’t fake this. Also, “going to try to pair this with a Syntrx”. Ok sure, whatever “Dave” (if that is your real name).
I just spoke to Erica Synths and pursuaded them to send me some units first because i want to chain 50 of them and make a bbc documentary out of it. I’ll keep you guys updated…
Okay okay, I’ll admit. I hand soldered an instrument in my shed that sounds exactly like the Perkons. Don’t tell anyone.
Best,
Tom Cruise
I knew it.
Hey “Dave”, will you solder up one of those counterfeit drum machines for me? I’m working on the soundtrack for a mashup between Top Gun and Mission Impossible, and I think a Tom Cruise-inspired instrument would do the job well.
Regards,
Erica
I know @Fin25 likes distortion, so here’s a clean Perkons bit. (there’s a bit of reverb on the lead (voice out into mixer, aux send to reverb). (just wanted to see if Perkons can keep things clean it kind of can but in its own way)
I must admit I’ve been a bit worried about the kick, but you’ve managed to quell my fears in less than two minutes.
Sounds really good.
Yeah it’s definitely not just over the top distortion kicks as in the demos. Lots of clean thumpy subby kicks p[ossible etc. But it does mean keeping the parameters close to 0 haha . It really wants to scream. Glad it still has nice range into cleaner kicks though
How are you finding the compressor?
