Erica Synths PĒRKONS HD-01

I’m happy to wait until I find one on the used market. But I am absolutely getting one of these. Sounds incredible.

Yeah drum machines like this can often take you to places you wouldn’t go normally. To me this is a pretty full sounding machine but id probably use my rytm with it.

Yeah true! I’m experimenting with various options but it will be part of a setup with probably digitone and Syntakt or Digitakt

Nice some hot sounds in there

curious if there is a way to change the ping pong to not double play each end note?

Unfortunately not. I have it on my feature request list.

After a short time you hear stereo grains added. That’s the kick going through a granular engine

wait what the hell :exploding_head:, care to elaborate what’s going on here?

What did you use for the granular part? Like a 1010 Lemondrop or something?

Ha! Never mind! I just saw your post on the current sounds thread and you said it was a Lemondrop. Very cool. I have one that i don’t use enough… I should just put it on an aux send like that.

thats amazing!

so the kick still gets routed thru the main out when also used from the seperate out?

Voice 1 out (kick) goes to mixer. Aux send on mixer on that kick channel to nanobox lemondrop in live inout mode for the high frequency crackles.

Bit too much to explain the pattern itself but the LFO is used, motion recording as well. Some live tweaking at the same time.

Then around 15 seconds or so I use the aux send on the kick channel to send it to the lemon drop

@frantsel yeap. It’s a thing I hoped it would do but it’s not clear from the manual. Using the separate out doesn’t disconnect the sound from going through the internal stages as well. Basically splitting the signal. On the mixer I have the kick channel fader down and use aux send pre fader  a lot to experiment with

Is it possible to control the signal on the 1) direct out (or send) and 2) main out separately? I was hoping that the ‚FX send‘ (when ‚Send’ Jack is connected) and ‚Level‘ knobs would achieve this…

yea can be good or bad… I would use it for sidechain reasons, would be perfect for that…

Thanks dude! And enjoy this beauty :))

So much to explore. Just curious. Can you use the inserts as inputs for external audio? i.e put a dummy cable into the send then bring something else in the return and run it through the filter, sequence plocks on it etc? Or does it come in post and just go straight to the compressor/drive?

Have you tried any feedback loops on it yet?

The first is on my list ‘things to try’

The second is added. Great idea

So the way this works is simple but effective imho . The level knob is just for internal use. The send FX still works when connecting the direct out. This means the direct out is always at full volume and you can control this with a mixer. The downside of this is that any level modulation is not heard on the direct out.

When you connect to the send the FX send becomes the level which determines the level of the send. And the return comes back before the level. Not sure if it connects pre or post filter. Will find out today

Ok, so if I only connect to the send jack then I basically have three independent signals: 1) direct out (always at full level), 2) send out (controlled by send FX knob) and 3) main out (controlled by level and master volume knob)…as I was hoping it would work

I have to varify if connecting both send and direct out works. But i see no reason why it wouldn’t. Going to test a few things this afternoon. Will let you know

Wow that’s interesting but makes sense I suppose. It sounds immense and seems to be really flexible. Thanks for all the info! :+1:

Dave can you nudge individual steps? Not swing or tempo nudge but individual steps alone?
