Erica Synths PĒRKONS HD-01

That’s exactly how the Vermona DRM1 works (apart from the brightness thing which definitely sounds odd) handy!

Did you use a balance to balance? If so try it in the configuration above (I wouldn’t expect that to fix the brightness, but you never know)

Ah yeah that makes sense! That’s why pulling it out 1 click from the output splits the signal when using a TRS to trs cable. Thanks for clarifying.

I assume it’s possible to use the master return in for any external audio source?

For anyone who placed an order through Sweetwater, who you’d think may be a priority as a larger vendor in the US, here’s a timeline :weary:

“We receive a limited amount of Perkons HD-01 every week and ship in the same order as pre-orders were made. Sweetwater has placed several orders with Perkons. The first one will be dispatched approx. in 2 months’ time, hopefully, sooner than later as we are working hard to improve production efficiency. We are shipping Sweetwater orders with UPS and usually, it takes no longer than a week.
I hope that this information helps.”

Just out of interest, is the Perkons the only drum machine that lets you see the step programming for multiple voices at once?

I think there’s a couple of eurorack sequencers that do it.

Likey likey

Wmd Metron does it, I don’t know many more. But in euro you might just have multiple sequencers anyway.

Why would anyone buy this drum machine instead of ARmk2? What am I missing here?

Because different people like different things.

Profound :face_with_monocle:

Well I used to have an AR, didn’t like it.

Didn’t get on great with a lot of the analogue sounds and it just had way more features than I needed to get the job done. Not to mention the pads.

What I’m after is a drum machine like Perkons, that gives me immediate control over all parameters at once and more hands on performance capabilities than the AR.

I’ve owned a lot of Erica and Elektron gear and, sound wise, I definitely lean more towards Erica. I’m hoping that Perkons represents Erica taking a big leap forwards in terms of performance and sequencing too.

But yeah, it’s a pretty niche product.

If it’s not your niche, it’s not gonna appeal.

Yea a couple good options in eurorack that work particularly well for drums:

But I don’t know of any dedicated drum machines that have the same visual multitrack sequencer approach

Hi! Some questions about firmware.
What firmware did the Perkons ship with?
How can i check which firmware version is installed?
How do i update the firmware?

MI grids and marbles is also a great alternative… patch marbles into grids and grids to Perkons and you will have evolving drum patterns to infinity

0.9 is the most recent one on the website, so I’d assume that.

Stick the SD card in a computer and check.

From the manual.
