Even though I like spicy I would probably embarrass myself if I ordered original Thai level spice. When I’m eating at my favorite Korean restaurant and have something spicy I end up with a sweaty face and neck

Great Thai spot 100 yards from my house. Panang catfish is my favorite.
But it’s so hit or miss, some crappy Thai places already make hot mild so when you order mild it comes more like bland.
Wife and I have done water bath canning for some years. We’ve never knocked a spoon on the lids. They ping as they cool, if they have a proper seal.
Often times the recipes get adjusted for local taste buds and are far from the traditional recipe. Maybe they even got too many complaints from people who couldn’t handle the original spice level…
We used to have a place where you could order food in 10 spice levels. Level 3 was already my max. I like spicy but when the tongue just burns and gets numb so you don’t taste anything anymore, what’s the point?
Have you ever tried Turkish deserts? The stuff I’ve tried was hardcore sweet and usually I like my sweets and didn’t think that there was something like “to sweet”.
I should have qualified my statement as “east asian baked goods.” Asia has many cultures and traditions.
Smoked Detroit style bacon and pepperoni pan pizza and thinner crust smoked meatball pizza.
We did each slowish cooked on the smoker, and finished in the oven at 500 for about 5 minutes to crisp it.
There was a third Neapolitan style pizza we smoked as well, with prosciutto, pancetta and bacon but I didn’t get a picture.
Smoking pizzas is something I’ve never heard of before… what sort of wood did you use?
I’m not sure if it’s something people generally do. We used hickory I believe in a barrel smoker. I’m trying to get my buddy to smoke a cheesecake next week. Obviously we smoke entirely too much weed.
That’s a great idea. I don’t imagine many of us have a wood or coal fired pizza oven at home.
I’m thinking of buying a Roccbox once we find a new house in December.
I smoke a pizza every morning. Lasts longer than a Cohiba and gets me higher than a kite. It’s a little tough to get lit, but once one of those pepperoni’s sparks, the cherry burns smooth to the end.
Ahh… yes. The smoke begets smoke…
How did they turn out? In my mind I’d be worried that they’d get too smoky, with the bread just soaking it up, but I can see how it’s be really quite good

That may be… but I’ve definitely eaten too much weed. Holy fuck… my body turned into a leaden weight 10 tons deep and plunging endlessly through the floor like an old television sinking into a still, black lake. Immobile.
It was kind of awesome, but unexpected so it freaked me out. My other dinner guests did t fare any better. Every course had weed in it. I overdosed about 6 people and no one could get up to flip the record so we listened to it played out and skipping for about two hours
