How to achieve moody techno textures with GAS

If GAS is the answer, and I want a solution against my problems with creating moody dark textures and atmospheres for techno padding, my one stop shop is:

A) Try abusing your big reverbs some more. Feed them with…
B) Poly synths for pads
C) Nóóó, poly synth pads always end you up with way too lush and beautiful sounds, you should instead…
D) Granular?
E) If only you’d have one more Eurorack module, all your problems would be gone. Just buy…
F) Quadraverb!
G) Just search for Drone Synth. Add a kick.
H) Never the answer GAS is. Design sound you will….

Warning: this Yamaha synthesizer has an incredibly accurate physical model and also requires good ventilation and water cooling. Make sure your studio is suitable.

It’s a thumper (1 cyl), so mono through and through. But Yamaha thumpers have a special sound.
