There’s this passive-aggressiveness I spy in people sometimes. They hide it under this faux facade of good manners, inclusivity, positivity and so on. But deep down it’s just pure anger. I’d rather have somebody yell at me and call me names instead of this confined angst that I believe sometimes manifests in such things as this flagging.

Passive aggressive is a tactic. Its used in Poker. They are the hardest type to fathom. But they do win a lot of tournaments. Inclusivity and Positivity are creepy. Reminds me of the Stepford Wives.

I went to psychotherapy a lot for the past 15 years. I had mental issues for basically all my youth. I also went to a couple of seminars, groups, I read some books and I learned some things. But some things I couldn’t to this day. One of the hardest being is learning to be genuinely upset and angry. Express that… Do not be afraid of hurt and know how to deal with hurt yourself. That’s hard. I do believe not only for me…

Thanks for sharing. Likewise emotional intelligence is a valuable social skill - I don’t think there’s anything wrong with inclusivity and positivy as long as it’s ernest. As a habitually cynical guy I try to make an effort not to dump on shit all the time

The main problem is that we all think that people want to hear what we have to say, but nobody really does, unless you’re saying what they want to hear. So when you have your say, the people that don’t like it will tell you so, often aggressively, because no-one ever got slapped over the internet. This then leads you to believe you are suffering some horrible injustice and having your rights trampled upon.
Then you take a step back and realise it’s a bunch of nerds arguing about synths on an internet forum and feel like a knob for thinking any of it actually mattered.
But then you remember that thing that Behringer did/said/released and feel an unbearable desire to share your feelings on an internet forum, because you have some very important thoughts on the matter.
