I want to hug whoever wrote the code for the DN master Overdrive

Yes! I can’t believe I haven’t messed around with it until tonight. I listened to Granules the latest by Ess, and that inspired me a little bit. Not every part of my new track is drenched in distortion, I saved it for certain patterns. Makes it it pop. That’s understating it, it’s crushing.

Makes me wanna make “the face,” you know the one.

umm… there will be absolutely NO hugging any time soon.

back away.

Haha… The original post was from the olden days, when hugging wasn’t an extreme sport

Interesting thread to read!

I’m currently going through ideas for the setup around my first OT I just got, paired with DN & DT - my brain’s in overdrive coming up with possible setups (bád pun, sorry sorry).

Do you guys think it’s worth a try to run DT’s audio through the DN and apply some Master Overdrive to both of them before routing them left/right to OT A/B? (I run them mono anyways)

Any cons I’m missing in this idea? I see there’s lots of forum threads on DT+DN combos, will go catch up to see what’s already written, but curious to hear from you in this context. Of course I could always get Heat, when budget permits at some point.

This is super useful - Thanks!!

Meanwhile what I was hearing in my head was this

Ah! there’s an Eminem machine in the DN !?

I swapped bar 2 and 3, post corrected.
Bar 2 is max Master Overdrive, muddier, less harmonics
Bar 3 is max Amp Drive, brighter, more harmonics.

I really like Amp Drive, but I’m not fond of Master Overdrive in fact. I may change my mind.
