As with all Elektron boxes the thing is their musicality. I could get similar sounds from plugins, but not in such a quick and immediate way. Its the hands/on tweaking and sequencing of parameters that makes Elektron gear so good.

I guess youâre joking perhaps, but being the internet we donât all speak your language well and we canât hear your tone or see your face. This sounds pretty pompous and condescending as hell to me. Whatâs so silly about being excited about an old technology in a new box and UI? Was it actually supposed to be funny to others, or just a convoluted way to make yourself appear more expert and veteran than others?
You should also think about cooking up some belittling comments for people in other threads getting excited about old tech in new boxes like analog drum synthesis - rytm, samplers - digitakt, etc.
But maybe I am misinterpreting your sentiment? It is the internet after all and maybe I just donât get your brand of humor.

I know right? I know Ableton has Push, but I always wondered what it would be like if they did a suite of hardware boxes that really offered one to one control of their instruments such as Operator, Analog etc. To me Digitone is that box. But itâs also like, it creates sounds, unlike samplers which need to be fed sound, requiring more gear, cables etc. digitone feels like the true portable Elektron music machine to get lost in and take on the road. And it doesnât have as harsh limitations of ram memory and storage capacity and stuff like that. I really canât wait for this thing to appear properly in the wild

I can relate to your sentiments haha. Itâs good to let it out and you wonât be banned if youâre civil. Passion goes both ways, while I love to spew my gripes I also love to create music the same boxes I whine about. It all balances out.

@lionstone @moo What I have trouble understanding is if you two are so upset with Elektron, why bother wasting so much time getting mad here? I find myself busy all day trying to keep up with all the things Iâd like to do; trying to convince others to hate Elektron as much as you do (incessantly) just becomes noisy to me because negativity kind of has that aesthetic (to me).
Wouldnât it make much more sense to spend your time doing something that makes you feel positive instead? You know you donât like Elektron so part ways; itâs for the best.
